The sparring gloves were on for a good cause and a prelude to the upcoming main event.
On Saturday, April 6, a sparring showcase and fundraiser was held at Salmon Arm’s Bulldogs Fitness and Boxing Centre. The event saw passionate pugilists demonstrate their prowess in the ring in what was billed as a “dry run” for competitors taking part in the 6th Annual Hit2Fit Charity Gala event at the SASCU Recreation Centre auditorium on Saturday, April 27.
A highlight of Hit2Fit are local fighters who, over the past four months, have been learning the sport to step in the ring at Hit2Fit while raising funds for charities. This year’s charities include the Shuswap Hospice Society and the Canadian Mental Health Association Shuswap Revelstoke. For Hit2Fit tickets and more information visit boxingforwellness.com.
