I consider the number-one project to be taxation; expanding our tax base and reviewing existing rates and expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility. Fair property taxes will help promote Chase as a great place to live and a smart place to run a business. Thoughtful, stable taxation and budgeting are both required to maintain services and replace aging infrastructure sensibly.
Lower taxes would allow our citizens to decide how to spend their money. More shops and services add to the tax base as well as help people to shop locally, look after their health care without a 60-km drive, attend training courses, sports events and to entice friends and family to vacation here.
