Chase police arrest one, search for another robbery suspect

On Oct. 4, Police arrested Anthony Isaac Sauls, 31, of Chase. He is now charged with one count of robbery and one count of breaching conditions, and will make his first court appearance on October 4.

Also charged with the robbery is Jerilyn Marjorie Johnny, 24, of Chase.  Johnny is not currently in custody, and there is a warrant out for her arrest.  She is described as 5-foot-eight in height in height, 54 kilograms (119 lbs) with black hair and brown eyes.  She has a distinctive birthmark on her right cheek.  Police are asking anyone who sees Johnny to contact police at 250-679-3221 or Crimestoppers at 1- 800-222-8477.

The incident took place Sept. 26, at about 11 p.m., when a Kamloops Yellow Cab taxi driver drove a male and a heavy-set female from the Valleyview Domino’s Pizza to the Chief William Pierish and Old Highway intersection near Chase.

The male passenger reportedly then punched the driver in the head numerous times, causing visible injuries. The suspects robbed the driver of about $170 as well as an airport tag before fleeing on foot.
