Delays near Falkland due to accident

Vehicle recovery on Highway 97 Thursday morning

Motorists travelling Highway 97 encountered some delays near Falkland Thursday morning.

A vehicle rolled over 15 kilometres south of Falkland around 8:30 a.m. causing the road to be reduced to single lane alternating traffic.

The male driver was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Icy conditions are reported throughout the North Okanagan. Therefore motorists are urged to slow down and use extreme caution.

“Thre’s been a fair number of fender benders and such,” said Vernon Fire Chief David Lind. “It’s been a few busy days.”
