Environment Canada has issued a warning of storm conditions, with reduced visibility and heavy snow, for Highway 3 from the Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass.
The storm is expected to taper off Tuesday afternoon.
“Snow levels will hover near 1,300 metres through the event,” the bulletin states. “As of 4 a.m. PST this morning, up to 23 centimetres of snow has fallen over Kootenay Pass and up to 20 cm for Paulson Summit. An additional five-to-10 cm is expected today.”

The highway cam at the Paulson Summit is still out of service following damage caused by vandals in July 2022.
