Intoxicated man arrested for reckless use of a gun

Lee Creek man charged with several firearms offences

The Chase RCMP took an intoxicated man into custody for recklessly firing a rifle on April 7.

At approximately 8 p.m. the RCMP received a report that a man was firing a rifle from a residence on Arnouse Lane in Lee Creek. The shots had been directed close to people nearby.

Police located a rifle after a search of the residence and took a 50-year-old man into custody. He is charged with unlawfully discharging a firearm, pointing a firearm, possessing a firearm while prohibited and failing to comply with recognizance.
