The drivers of a minivan and a dump truck suffered only minor injuries following a collision in Ranchero, say Salmon Arm RCMP.

Staff Sgt. Scott West issued a media release regarding a crash on Friday, May 26 that occurred about 3:55 p.m. on Highway 97B at Cambie Road. Emergency crews responded.

Cambie Road joins the highway about a kilometre south of Mellor’s store situated on Mellor Frontage Road.

“A minivan was turning left from Cambie Road on to Highway 97B and was hit in the side by a dump truck that was travelling through on the Highway.

“As a direct result of the dump truck driver slowing down considerably both drivers sustained only minor injuries despite the considerable damage to the minivan which rolled over in the ditch,” he reported.
