Missing Cherryville man found

David Riehl located safe and sound


David Riehl has been found, safe and sound.

The 62-year-old Cherryville man who was reported missing Tuesday has been located.

The Lumby RCMp thank the media and public for their assistance.


Lumby RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing Cherryville resident.

David Riehl was last seen May 4 in Cherryville and was seen in Ponoka, Alta. in the late evening of May 9, prior to being reported missing May 13.

The 62-year-old man is described as Caucasian, five-foot-nine and 184 pounds, wiht grey hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt.

Riehl left in his purple 1998 GMC Sierra pickup truck with Alberta license plate GA884.

Police are very concerned for his health and well-being and friends and family report that it is out of character for him to be out of contact for this long.
