Sicamous residents are being asked to conserve water on Tuesday, Oct. 23 and Wednesday, Oct. 24 while work is done on replacing a section of pipe. According to the District of Sicamous the pipe is showing signs of aging and is at risk of failure.

Although the repiar has been scheduled to minimize disruption of water service, conservation is requested to ensure there is sufficient water in the event of a fire emergency.
Normal operation of the water system is expected to resume on Wednesday evening.
