The Salmon Arm RCMP were out in force over the long weekend on local highways, city streets and waterways, responded to over 100 complaints.
A number of vehicles were stopped and served warnings or tickets including one vehicle that was impounded for travelling 109 km/h in the 60 km/h zone near 30th street SW on the west end of town.
Over 100 boats were checked by RCMP officers over the last week and the long weekend. Relatively few boaters were missing key safety equipment, but those who were were served tickets and escorted to shore.
