Snowmobilers located by search crews

Snowmobilers were lost in the Hunter's Range area near Enderby and Sicamous

Crews mobilized to find two snowmobilers near Enderby.

At 6:30 p.m. Saturday, 15 members of Vernon Search and Rescue initiated a search for two overdue snowmobilers in the Hunter’s Range snowmobile area.

“The two snowmobilers, a husband and wife, had been reported missing by their son,” said Leigh Pearson, search manager.

“Both were located by search crews at about 9:45 p.m. and brought out to safety. They had become separated and both had got their snowmobiles stuck. Search crews were back in Vernon at 1 a.m.”
