Canadian Navigable Waters Act

Columbia Shuswap Regional District hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act for approval of the work described herein and its site and plans.

Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act, Columbia Shuswap Regional District has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Navigable Waters Registry (http://cps.canada.ca/) under Registry number 6979, and under the NPP File Number 2023-509607 a description of the following work, its site and plans:

  • Installation of Water Intake Pipe

in, on, over, under, through or across the Shuswap Lake, approximately at 50° 53’ 53.75” N, 119° 27’ 28.1” W, on all that unsurveyed Crown foreshore being part of the bed of Shuswap Lake and fronting on Lot 1, Plan KAP77525 and Plan B5406, both of Section 27 and fronting on Scotch Creek Wharf Road lying within Sections 28 and 27, all of Township 22, Range 11, West of the Sixth Meridian, Kamloops Division Yale District, containing 0.579 hectares, more or less, in Sorrento, in the Province of British Columbia.

Comments will be considered only if they are in writing (electronic means preferable) and are received not later than November 20, 2023. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.
