Today we remember Al Daykin. A Father, Grandfather and dear friend to many. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for three years and also loved to paint at the Mt. Ida Painters Association.
Al Stanley Daykin passed away at Shuswap Lake General Hospital after a three year battle against cancer at the age of 77 years. The family would like to thank the hospital staff, caregivers, his caretaker Mary and Dr. Bratty, Dr. MacDonald, Dr. Main and the staff in helping with his care. Also, good-bye to his cat Pearl. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Al’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Box 3451, Salmon Arm, BC, V1E 4W2.
A service and reception was held at St. Joseph’s Church on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.
