Barry passed away unexpectedly at the age of 62 years on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Kelowna General Hospital due to a sudden illness.

Barry was born in Arcola, SK to parents Kenneth and Marjory Gordon, one of five children and was raised in Calgary, AB. In 1963 he met the love of his life, Linda Graham and they were married in Calgary on Feb. 1, 1969.

After 25 dedicated years with Shell Canada, Barry chose to take early retirement and began Bear Contracting in 1997. In 1999 Linda and Barry relocated to Salmon Arm, BC and began living their dreams.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda, daughter Charlene (Troy), daughter Cheryl and granddaughters Bailey and Brooklyn, his mother in law Connie Brems as well as sister and brothers Doreen (Russel) Hill, Albert and Richard (Vilma). His faithful German shepherd still waits to greet him at the door. Barry was predeceased by his father Kenneth, mother Marjory and his brother Stanley.

Services were held at Fischer’s Funeral Services on November 19, 2007. Memorial donations in Barry’s name may be made to the CT Scan Campaign, Box 265, Salmon Arm, BC, V1E 4N3.
