October 29, 1949 - August 21, 2018
Della Ellen Luckow passed away at Hillside Village, Salmon Arm, B.C. on August 21, 2018 at the age of 88 years.
She was born in Kalispell, Montana and raised in Swan Lake. Della married Carl Luckow on October 29, 1949 and they resided in Swan Lake until moving to Tappen, B.C. in 1964 with their daughters, Rita and Marla.
She enjoyed going for walks, reading, knitting, cooking and playing pinochle and crib.
She loved music, played piano by ear and the accordion. She will be remembered as a very thoughtful and kind-hearted person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Della was predeceased by her parents, Ray and Gertrude Fenby, husband Carl and brother in law Swede.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita (Bryon) Every and Marla (Warren) Drader, grandchildren; Owen (Andria) Every, Randy Every (Crystal Millwater), Andrea Drader (Garth Turner) and Janine Drader (Ryan Anderson).
Great grandchildren; Elijah, Hailey, Jessica, Skylar, Traesen, Nathaniel and Cole. Sister, Pat Luckow and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in the U.S.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Weicker, nurses at Shuswap Lake General Hospital and Hillside Village Staff for the wonderful care that Della received.
A celebration of life will be held on October 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Carlin Hall.
