It is with great sadness as we announce the passing of Delmar Bridge Kerr, September 22, 2016.

Delmar was born December 24, 1950 in Brooks Alberta. He was one of five sons to Alford (Papa) and Margaret (Ma) Kerr. Ma & Papa moved the family from Brooks to Claresholm, Alberta in 1967

Delmar and Susan met in Claresholm in 1968 and married in 1970. They decided to move to Sicamous in 1977 with their two children Shane (Rhonda- children, Kaylen, Jadon & Payton) of Sicamous, BC and Faye (Shawn) of Armstrong, BC. Sicamous was where Delmar’s older brother Wayne was residing. He worked a short time for his brother before deciding to open an automotive business.

Delmar was best known for his passion for cars. During his 35 years in the automotive business he restored and owned hundreds for vintage and non-vintage vehicles. Delmar was a car encyclopedia for many people in Sicamous. His passion for cars, perfection and his stubbornness will live on in his son, Shane.

Delmar was also known for his compassion for others and his belief that all people were good and honest. He was always willing to help in whatever way he could- many times offering the last dollar in his pocket to a complete stranger. Delmar had a very special place in his heart for all animals; it was never a surprise to the family when he would bring home a stray cat. This compassion for people and animals and his stubbornness will be carried on by his daughter, Faye.

Delmar will be missed but never forgotten, we will cherish our memories forever.

Respecting Delmar’s wishes there will be no formal service.
