Derrick Jolly passed away in Bastion Place, Salmon Arm, BC in the early hours of Monday, June 29, 2009 at the age of 76 years.

At his request, there will be no formal service, in preference of donations being made to the Bastion Place Bus Fund in memory of Derrick.

Born in Cheadle, Cheshire, England on August 2, 1932, Derrick came for a visit to the Shuswap in 1973 and was quickly offered a job, making this his home. He was the founder of Derrick Jolly Construction, retiring at the age of 69 years.

Derrick leaves his loving family, wife of 50 years, Anita; sons, Steven in Bastion Place and Martyn (Nona) of Salmon Arm; and relatives in England.

The family extends appreciation and thanks to all the dedicated staff at Bastion Place for the exceptional care provided to Derrick, Steve and family.
