Dorothy Barni (Trickey) passed away peacefully on August 19, 2019 from the effects of Alzheimer's.
Dorothy was born in the back of a Model A Ford near San Diego, California, giving her a thirst for travel and adventure. She spent much time in Italy and fulfilled her dream of watching a performance of the Bolshoi Ballet during a trip to Russia.
Dorothy immigrated to Canada in 1968, settling in Salmon Arm. After moving to Vancouver Island, she returned to the area, retiring in the Enderby area, where she tended her beloved garden and orchards.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Carlo, sons Mike (Lena), Jeff (MargAnn), and daughter Cindy Robertson (Angus), her step-children Katie Ainsworth, Danny Barni, Michael Barni and Gabby Barni, as well as eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
