Elizabeth (Beb) Johnson, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 18th, 2016 at Hillside Village in Salmon Arm, BC.
Beb was born in Krimpen aan de Lek, Holland, May 31, 1921. She met her husband Gordon, and immigrated to Canada as a war bride in 1946. They settled in Manitoba and later moved to the Lower Mainland, where they raised their 2 children and grandchildren. After Gordon’s passing, Beb relocated to Salmon Arm.
She is survived by her loving family: son, Arni (Kelly) Johnson of Cloverdale; daughter, Chris (Phil) Pentecost of Enderby; grandchildren, Rob (Sandy) Berke of Salmon Arm, Rick Berke of Langley, Sarah Feldman of Calgary; seven great-grandchildren: Matthew, Ryan, Ariana, Justin, Chase, Benjamin and Lyla. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gordon, of 55 years and her brother Pieter of New Westminster.
The family would like to thank the team at Hillside Village Cottage “1” for their exceptional compassion and support, and a special thanks to Dr. Lourens for his care and support.
