Eric Shawn Rand died tragically with his great grandmother “Oma” Dorothy Thalhofer in Vernon, BC on Friday evening, November 13, 2009 at the age of 10 years.
Born in Vernon, BC on September 2, 1999, he attended Vernon Christian School until moving to Enderby in April of this year. He was a grade 4 student in King’s Christian School, Salmon Arm.
The Funeral service will be held at the Gathering Place, 30th street NE, Salmon Arm, on Friday morning, November 20th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Don Richmond officiating. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested friends bring a helium balloon.
Eric understood the importance to help others in need. To keep his spirit alive the Eric Rand memorial fund has been set up with the Village Green Branch CIBC, 3201 30th avenue, Vernon, BC, VIT 2C6. Transit # 00206, account number 8924236. Friends are welcome to assist.
Eric is survived by his mother, Shawna Rand of Enderby, father, Kristopher Rand and partner Simon of Victoria, cat Meow, and a large extended family and friends, including the Victoria Tribe.
