April 23, 2012

Frances Irene Fretenburg Archer (nee Matthews) passed away April 23, 2012 in Hillside Village, Salmon Arm, BC, at the age of 97. She was born October 14, 1914 in Montesano, WA. She lived in various places in WA and OR before moving to BC in 1970. She lived in Blind Bay, Hazelton, Eagle Bay and Chase. She moved to Hillside Village, Salmon Arm in 2008. Quite often she would find a treasure while browsing through antique stores, thrift shops and yard sales. She had a love for dogs and often took in stray dogs. She always had a dog in her home.

She leaves a son Gary (Nancy) Fretenburg, a daughter Karen (Ron) Barklow, grandchildren Rella (Paul) Niemela, Dana Barklow, Russ (Karen Johnson) Fretenburg, Rhonda Stevens and great grandchildren Mandy and Nicole Niemela, Sean Stevens and Nelson and Nicola Fretenburg.
