Frank passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Bastion Place, Salmon Arm at the age of 80 years. He was born in North Bay, Ontario on May 5, 1931 to Ernest and Myrtle Lafont.
Frank was predeceased by his loving wife Marian and is survived by their children Richard (Sonia), Gary, Wayne, David and Shirley (Peter), grandchildren Laura, Krista, Ian, Lisa, Alexander, Donald (Loretta) Kim, Kevin and Stephen, great grandchildren Kelsey, Jayden, Kayla, Josh, Brayden, Amanda and Jaylene, siblings Clayton, Cyril (Beulah), Ken (Bev), John (Donna), Marlene (Dennis) and Karen (Wayne). Frank will also be missed by his dear friends Maggie Bolton, Carl Stengal, Don Lane, Ron and Jeane Short, Rick and Laurie Short as well as many other friends and neighbors and his constant companion for the last 7 years “Kudrow”.
Frank served for 2 ½ years in the Royal Canadian Army AND worked for many years in the trucking and logging industries. He loved fishing, hunting and music.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bastion Place and Dr. Kirkman for their kindness, as well as special thanks to our cousins Barb and Jim Brittian.
A memorial will be planned for the spring 2012.
