It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George Pedersen. On the afternoon of January 5th, George lost his long battle with cancer which he had fought with great courage.
George died with his loving wife and daughter at his side. Many close friends also supported him in his final hours.
George is survived by Inge, his wife and best friend for 55 years, his daughter Karen, grandson Jaime, and many nieces and nephews in Denmark.
George has been a loyal witness for Jehovah for over 40 years and a memorial service will be held for him at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Salmon Arm at 721 2nd street SE on Saturday afternoon, January 15th at 2 p.m. Ron Poustie will speak about George’s life and the scriptural hope and beliefs George held in such high esteem. All those who knew him are invited to join us.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Shuswap Lake General Hospital for the deep compassion and care shown to George during the final days of his life. You made a difficult time a little easier. Thank You.
