It is with infinite sadness that we announce the passing of Hazel Margaret Cooper who passed away Jan 29, 2017 at the age of 81 in her home in Nanaimo, BC. Tough but fair, Hazel always afforded the chance to prove oneself, and kept her door open in return for good company and conversation. When possible she would consistently put the needs of others before her own and believed strongly in community and the strength it provides to those who support it. She is remembered by her remaining family and a world full of friends, many of whom she did not get the chance to meet.
