It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing at Shuswap Lake General Hospital on June 29, 2019, of our dear husband, father, grandfather and friend Heinrich (Henry) Sinhuber.
Born in Berlin, Germany, in July 1936 the eldest child of Axel and Charlotte Sinhuber, Henry immigrated to Canada in 1954 at the age of 18.
Henry is pre-deceased by his parents, Axel and Charlotte Sinhuber and brother, Albrecht.
He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Erika (Benjamin Macauley), grandsons Glen and Russell, brother Chris (Raewyn) and many nieces and nephews. His sister Gisela (Horst Waschkowski) and brother Detlef, (Christine) reside in Germany. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his furry walking buddy, Fritz.
A service for Henry will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, on First Street, in Salmon Arm, on Friday, July 5th at 11 am, with reception to follow.
The family would like to express gratitude to doctors Bell, Levins and Sawatsky-Martens, the church family, Interior Health and the Seniors' Resource Centre.
Donations can be made in Henry's name to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
