Honor Jane Elizabeth Pesch

Honor Jane Elizabeth Pesch (nee Evans), was born in Edmonton, AB Aug. 30, 1919, the second youngest of five children to Harry and Isabel Evans. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a BA degree.

In 1944 she married Ken Pesch of Venice, California and in 1945 they moved to the Salmon Arm area, where they raised four children. She was a voracious reader and loved doing cryptic puzzles, playing scrabble and any games that challenged her brilliant mind. She was also a champion knitter and donated her time and talent producing many beautiful sweaters for orphans in the Ukraine. She had a generous spirit and was a great cook and homemaker.

She and Ken had sixty-six wonderful years together. She will be sorely missed by her husband Ken, her children; Jane, Frances, Marshall and Oliver Pesch, daughters in law Sharon Bostick and Gloria Pesch, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She died peacefully on January 28, 2010 surrounded by family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hillside Manor nursing home for taking such good care of her.

A memorial service will be held in the summer.
