Born in Cueuctemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, Justina moved to Canada in early 1957. In 2012 she was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. In the spring of 2017, the cancer metastasised to her liver and pancreas.

Justina was one of 8 children and is survived by two sisters, Tina and Eva, as well as six children: Sara (Bill), Helen, Abe (Sue), Johnny, Pete (Michelle), Mary (Bernie), many grandchildren and one great-grandson. She is predeceased by twin infant sons and her husband of forty-two years, Peter.

A memorial will take place in Salmon Arm, BC, at the Broadview Evangelical Free Church on Saturday, April 15th at 2 PM. Refreshments will follow immediately at the church.

A graveside service will be held in Vanderhoof, BC, on April 22nd, at Vanderhoof Cemetery at 1:30 PM. Refreshments and reminiscing will follow at Nechako Christian Fellowship at 2:30 PM.
