It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Lawrence Dean announces his passing on December 23, 2020, at Mt. Ida Mews in Salmon Arm, BC in his 84th year.
Lawrence is predeceased by his parents Edward and Annie Dean, son Kevin Dean as well as siblings Laura Skarsen, Marjorie Ulfsten, Jesse Shannon, Dorothy Mc Fadyen.
Lawrence leaves behind 3 children: James (Valerie) Dean, Terry Dean, Karen Dean/Gilmore, 5 grandchildren: Destaney, Melissa, Alesha, Evan, Lindsey, and 1 great-grandchild.
Lawrence was born in Cold Lake, Alberta October 8, 1936. He loved the outdoors, gardening while he provided for his family, and quadding. His passion for work was heavy equipment. He moved to BC for work and this is where 3 of his children were born. He returned to Cold Lake and there had 1 more child.
Lawrence started his dementia journey 3 1/2 years ago. He moved to Salmon Arm, BC 2 1/2 years ago where he was under the care of his physician, Dr. Andrea Rose. The family wishes to thank Dr. Rose and the staff at Mt. Ida Mews for their care during Lawrence's time here in BC.

Lawrence will be cremated. There will be a service held in Cold Lake, AB in the Summer of 2021. Due to COVID restrictions, the family will wait until then for burial.
