Len passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 20th, 2011 in Salmon Arm, B.C. at age nearly 93 years. He moved to B.C. eighteen months ago to live with his daughter Christine Armstrong, son-in-law Brad and grandsons Kent, Kit and Christopher. Len was born in Croydon, England and worked for over thirty years for United Dairy in both London and Kent. In 1973, at age 54, he started a whole new life by moving to Canada. Living in Calgary, Len worked ten years for the Calgary School Board before retiring. Len is also survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Elsie; daughter Jean (Allan) Andrews, son Victor Michael (Glenda) Carr, eight grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Len loved days at the beach watching everybody have a good time, listening to the birds and feeling the warmth of the sun: a memorial will be held in May when the loons return to the lake he loved so much. Len always said “Canada has been good to me and good for me”. He shall be missed.
