We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Leonore (Lori) Gall, our beautiful Mom, Sister, Grammie and Friend. Lori passed away suddenly and peacefully at her home in Salmon Arm, B.C. at the age of 68 on May 10, 2016.

Lori is predeceased by her Mother, Helen Geistlinger, Father, Jack Geistlinger, brother Harvey Geistlinger, and former spouse Lloyd Gall.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her son Jeff, daughter Debbie (Robin), brothers Gordon (Janet), Don (Maureen), sisters Diane (Niall), Petra (Rainer) Grandchildren, Moriah and Quinn, nephew and nieces, Carly and Steven, Jaclyn and Jason, Jennifer and Jordan, Melanie and Daniela.

Lori was born in Bachnang Germany on Dec 22, 1947. When she was very young, along with her mother Helen, she immigrated to Canada.

At seventeen Lori married Lloyd Gall and had 2 children Jeff and Debbie. In 1970, Lloyd took a job with the Department of Highways in Salmon Arm. Lori, Jeff and Debbie followed a month later by train and a significant new chapter in their lives began.

Lori was truly a lifelong learner, and that is evident by the many jobs and careers she did throughout her 68 years. However, Lori’s main career was in Real estate. After completing her high school adult graduation diploma, Lori also successfully achieved her real estate license, and later her Managing Broker License. She was very successful as a Real estate agent and later as a Broker/Co-owner of Re/Max in Salmon Arm.

Lori loved Salmon Arm and all that it offered. Some of her best memories are of the times she spent house boating on the Shuswap Lake with family and friends. But, it was not just about the geography it was also about the friendships that she made here.

Lori had many hobbies and was always involved in something such as: Dragon Boating, Square dancing, Roots and Blues, secret sister sorority, reading, crocheting, knitting, drumming, ukulele, gardening and the list goes on….

She was also a big fan and supporter of the Silverbacks hockey team, she loved having billets and thoroughly enjoyed each and every young man that stayed with her over the years. Lori’s face would light up when talking about anything Silverbacks related. This fall she had decided that once again she would host more billets.

Lori loved to travel and was always looking into trips she could take with friends.. Just last year she made a trip to Germany to visit her sister..

Family was always Lori’s first priority. She truly was their rock. Becoming a Grandma “Grammie” filled her heart with pride and joy and there weren’t any milestones that she every missed in their lives.

We struggle to find the words to end this brief story of Lori, because she was anything but brief! She was an incredible, strong woman, who taught us so much in life.. We will miss you every day, and hold you close in our hearts forever... xoxo

A service was held at the Shuswap Community church in Salmon Arm, B.C. on May 21, 2016 at 11am. Interment followed at the Salmon Arm Cemetery.
