Marilyn passed away suddenly at Shuswap Lake General Hospital on November 1, 2019 with Stephen and Teri by her side at the age of 76.
She was born in Salmon Arm, BC to Harry and Margaret Abson on January 11, 1943.
Marilyn was predeceased by Husband Bob Hughes who passed away January 2013 and is survived by her son Stephen (Teri), grandchildren Cassidy and Evan, brother-in-law Ed, nieces Margaret, Cheryl, & Kerry and their families.
After graduation she moved to Vancouver and became an X-ray Technician, she was an X-ray Technician from 1965 - 2003 working at the Salmon arm Hospital from 1979 - 2003.
They lived in Labrador City Newfoundland from 1973 - 1979 where she always said there were 4 seasons winter, winter, winter, and rain. She left Labrador City, (with her husband, son, cat and dog) in June of 1979. They arrived in Salmon Arm in October 1979 after travelling across Canada in a truck towing a 20 ft travel trailer. We toured every province of Canada. Her favourite place, other than Salmon Arm was PEI.
Marilyn enjoyed walking, watching movies, & having coffee with family and friends.
