Marlene Agnes Byers passed away at her home in Salmon Arm on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the age of 76 years, following a brief battle with cancer.
The Funeral Service will be held from the Salvation Army, 191 2nd avenue N.E. Salmon Arm on Friday afternoon, October 25th at 1 pm with her son, David Byers, officiating. A reception will follow.
Marlene was born in Salmon Arm on March 14, 1943, daughter of the Pioneer Jacobi family. She loved the Shuswap, is well remembered for being a dedicated Domestic Goddess and creating an incredible garden each year on the Byers homestead.
Predeceased by her parents, Hans and Agnes Jacobi, and infant sister Betty.
Marlene leaves her loving husband for 58 years, Ted Byers; two sons, David (Angie) and Greg (Donna); 4 grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Nathan and Brandon; 3 great grandchildren, Sebastian, Paisley and Oliver.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Charity of one's choice in memory of Marlene.
