Mrs. Muriel Winnifred Spencley passed away in Pleasant Valley Manor, Armstrong, BC on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the age of 88 years.
The funeral service was held from the Salmon Arm Seventh Day Adventist Church on Monday afternoon, January 3, 2011 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Malcolm Graham officiating, with Pastors Victor Gill and Nelu Nedelea assisting.
A reception followed in the church, allowing the family and friends to continue sharing memories.
Born in Horsham, Sussex, England on August 31, 1922. Early years were not easy for Muriel, some 25 years ago she met the love of her life, Albert, in Ontario. With a planned trip to visit family in Victoria they stopped in Salmon Arm, enjoying the scenery, they purchased a home. They lived in Salmon Arm for 20 years before moving to Enderby. Failing health required her to move into a care facility in March of 2010.
She is well remembered for her caring manner, always smiling, dedicated with her Christianity, and willingness to assist others. Muriel and Albert were former members of Shuswap Singers.
Muriel leaves her loving husband, Albert; his two children and her 5 children. She was predeceased by a sister and brother.
