It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Denise Robbins (Coulter) on February 19, 2024 peacefully at the Haida Gwaii Hospital in Daajing Giids, BC at the age of 68.
Nancy was born on March 06, 1955, in Huntsville, Ontario and was the second oldest child of Adaline and Jack Coulter.
Nancy is survived by her long-time partner Peter Grundmann of Sandspit, her daughter Jame Patriquin (Chris Patriquin), her four grandchildren, Braydon, Bailey, Charlie, Madison and her first born Great Grandson Jamieson. Also sadly missed by her siblings, Dan Coulter (Patricia), Jim Allen (Bonnie), Bonnie Simpson, Donnell Allen (Paul), David Allen (Anne-Marie)
Pre-deceased by Richard Allen, Francis Allen, and Tami Locke. Nancy will be missed by many nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family from all over.
Nancy spent her younger years in and around St. Thomas and Port Stanley, ON before moving to Calgary for several years. In 1995, she found her forever home in Sandspit, Haida Gwaii, BC. The island life suited Nancy perfectly. It was where she was able to live life to the fullest, embrace nature and the ocean, and share her love for all creatures great and small. It was also where she found the love of her life, Peter, who joined her in her many adventures over the years and selflessly took care of her during her final months.
A funeral service was held in Daajing Giids, Haida Gwaii on Saturday February 24, 2024 with internment at Daajing Giids Cemetery, overlooking the ocean she loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Ontario in the coming months.
