Nancy 'Doreen' Hesse

December 21, 1933 - August 19, 2023

With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mom and Grandma Nancy "Doreen" Hesse (nee Favell) on August 19, 2023 at the age of 89.
She passed away peacefully with her daughter Elouise, son Richard and granddaughter Chelsea by her side.
Doreen was born in Salmon Arm, BC and lived in Canoe until moving to Burnaby with her husband Horst in 1999 (predeceased by him in 2007).
Gardening was her passion. She liked watching the birds and listening to them sing. She watched all kinds of sports. She bowled and pitched horseshoes. She enjoyed playing the spoons, darts, cards, writing poems and baking.
She was loved by all who had the chance to know her. She was a social butterfly. Her joy and laughter, loving and caring, and the many great memories will forever carry on through us and everyone who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Canoe Seniors Centre, 7330 49th Street NE, Canoe BC.
