Nick was born in Salmon Arm BC and raised on his family’s farm in Sorrento BC. Even at a young age Nick was full of fun and adventure and mischief. He had a deep love for animals, especially his dogs and cats. It was hard to keep him inside as he loved the outdoors, where he would be found wrestling with the kid goats, fighting off the roosters or chasing the rabbits. When he started school he was a magnet for friends. He loved his sports which included baseball, soccer and hockey. Camping and fishing with his friends took him away from home many week-ends.

Nick grew up and became a man that was strong in his beliefs. His friends multiplied because of his sense of humour, his infectious grin, his unwavering belief in righteousness, his giving nature and most important to him his loyalty.

Nick had no fear; he believed what didn’t kill you only made you stronger. Many of his friends and family leaned on him for support. If he walked into a room his presence was felt before he was physically seen. Everyone wanted to be around him.

Nick’s greatest love was for his family. He loved and respected his father Bo, who through his eyes was the most honest and respected man he would ever meet. The bond between him and his mother Shelley was deeply rooted. He tried constantly to protect her from worry and never wavered in expressing his love to her.

His eldest brother Jesse was his hero growing up, and then became his confident and best friend. His second oldest brother Brett was the one he relied on in his youth for his understanding nature, his patience and guidance, they were always there for each other. His love for his baby sister Fawn was known throughout the community, he had no love greater than for her, no matter where she was , what she did he would be there for her even if he had to fight his way through hell itself to help her.

His nieces Ryann, Ellincia and Kadie were the most spoiled little girls who adored their uncle Nick. He loved to lavish his attention on them with crazy amounts of toys, holidays to Nakusp, Radium trips to the Fun Factor, Jungle Mania, Ruckers, bowling, movies and dinners at the Keg, they were what made his life fun.

His sister-in-law Bernadette will remember him for his continuous teasing and the love he showed openly for her. He loved and protected his cousins as he did his brothers and sister and they in return loved him back.

His grandparents were his roots, his Aunts and Uncles were his friends and advisors and his friends were his family.

Nick leaves in the deepest sadness his parents; Bo and Shelley, brothers; Jesse (Bernadette), Brett and his sister Fawn. Nieces; Ryann, Ellincia and Kadie, grandparents; Pat and Rod Larsen, Gail LeDuc and great grandmother Ila Ellingson and huge family of Aunts, Uncles and cousins, and a very sad community of Sorrento.

He was loved so very much.

Don’t judge me for I have only judged myself-Nick
