Paulette Myrtle Platzer. Paulette was born on September 5, 1946 in Elk Point Alberta and passed away March 18th 2016 at Hillside Village care home. Paulette and her husband Michael (Dan) were married in Kamloops on July 16th 1966. Paulette worked at the Tranquille mental care facility. In 1973 she moved to Mica Creek with her husband before moving to Sicamous, where they made their home on Payne Rd. in the Solsqua Cambie area. Paulette went on to work at the Pioneer Lodge care facility in Salmon Arm for 20 years before retiring in 2005. Paulette is survived by her husband Michael (Dan) Platzer, two sons Darren and wife Sarah of Fort St. John BC and Jason and wife Jennifer of Prince George BC, and five grandchildren Aaron, Victoria, Carolyn, Ian, and Jayne. The family would like to thank the staff at Hillside Village care home for all the wonderful care and love shown towards Paulette during her stay at the care home. There will be a celebration of life for Paulette and her mother (Bernice Thompson) who passed away on Feb. 26/2016, at the Royal Canadian Legion in Sicamous (Upstairs). Paulette will be laid rest with her parents in the Eagle Valley Cemetery on Solsqua Cambie Rd.
