It is with great Sadness that the Family of Pearl Vandergrift announces her passing on Feb. 28th 2018, at home in Okanagan Falls B.C.
Our Mom, grandma, great grandma was born in Coppercliff, Sudbury, Ontario Dec the 11th 1923. Pearl was the youngest of seven children. She lived in Ontario until she met our Dad, James Cooper Vandergrift. They married after the War in 1947 and lived in numerous places until finally settling in Salmon Arm BC.
Pearl was predeceased by her husband James of 34 years, son James Rodney Vandergrift, son-in-law Tom Clark.
She is survived by her Children; Chuck Vandergrift (Suzanne), Diana Vandergrift, Karen Clark, Larry Vandergrift (Wendy), Valerie Nakazawa (Bob), daughter-in-Law Cathy Vandergrift and a niece Frances Allen. Grandchildren; Stacie Dixon (Dion),Terry MacGregor (Jeremiah), Lonny Vandergrift (Soula Kemitzis), Sharon Kostiuk (Nicholas), Richard Vandergrift (Andrea), Cris Favell (Terry), Nicholas Favell (Vanessa), Daniel Favell (Nicole), Jimmy Vandergrift, Jacquelyne Nakazawa, Sydney Nakazawa (Amanda McConnell), Brenna Nakazawa (Jesse Niefer) as well many great grandchildren. Mom, also called Gramma, Darling Gramma and GG will be missed by many but heartened as well for her, to be embraced by those who she lost too soon.
