Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Raymond Frederick Everton. Ray is survived by his wife Angela, son Brayden, daughter Larrianne, mother of his children, Shelley Everton of Vernon, his mother Barb Everton of Salmon Arm, sisters Christina Everton (Eugene Roy) of Salmon Arm, Cathy Everton (Nolan Fontaine) of Nanaimo, Julia Hultman (Dawson) of Maple Ridge, brother Clint Carpentier (Leanne) of Whitehorse, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ray went to school and graduated in Terrace, B.C. He started playing guitar at the age of 9. By 15, he was playing professionally in Terrace, with his dad and brother Clint. In the early 80’s, Ray’s family moved to Silver Creek. There they started a band called “Family Sound.” He has been known locally for many years as “The Hat Man.”

Ray loved life! He often said “He was a very lucky man” because he got to spend his life playing. Whether it was his music, golf, pool or many other games.

Ray truly loved his family and they all loved him back.

We will miss his heartfelt “Hugs.”

There will be no service as requested. Memorial donations can be sent to robelabelle@hotmail.com.

The money will be used for a student music scholarship in Ray’s name.
