Rosemary Swanson (nee Lund) passed away peacefully at her home on October 21, 2011 after a short, but brave battle with cancer. Rosemary, born April 15, 1945 in Inverness, Scotland moved with her parents John F. Lund & Jean (Bunty) Lund to Canoe, BC in 1946 where she spent her childhood. Rosemary will be sadly missed by her long-time companion Dave Fearing, her 4 children Gordon (Monica) Swanson of Seymour Arm, Mary-Anne Swanson of Salmon Arm, Donald Swanson of Sicamous, Jane Sullivan of Salmon Arm, her 2 brothers John (Lois) Lund, Brian (Doris) Lund, 2 grandchildren John Baynes, Tanya Kerber and many other relatives, friends, foster and neighbourhood children to whom she was fondly known as “Grandma Rose”. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 1pm - 3pm at the North Canoe Hall, all are welcome.
