It is with great sadness that the family of Roxena Brenda Goodine announce her passing on Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital, surrounded by her children and family.
Born on March 3, 1943 in Fredericton NB to George and Melba (Mills) Goodine.
Her career started at the University of New Brunswick in the Graphic Arts Department and continued in Sorrento and Chase BC with volunteering and owning her own business. Roxena concluded her career off in Politics as the Constituency Assistant for George Abbott.
Roxena is survived by her cherished husband Mike Gilliss, her children Scott (Shirley) Fraser, Troy (Debbie) Fraser, Twila (Peter) Chick, Shane (Tracy) Fraser and Reginald Fraser. Step children Scott (Nicole) Gilliss and Lisa (Sebastian) Gilliss.
She also leaves behind her joys in life 14 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren as well has her sister Vena Lewis, nieces, nephew and several cousins.
A private dinner was held for Roxena for family and very close friends in Blind Bay, BC on Friday September 27, 2019.
A celebration of life will be held in Fredericton, New Brunswick at a later date. For those who wish to make a donation in Roxena's name my do so to any charitable organization of their choice.
