Roy Sibley Hood passed away peacefully at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on January 29, 2008 at the age of 75 years. Roy was born in Vancouver, BC on February 16, 1932. He had lived in Burnaby before moving to Blind Bay in 1998.
Roy enjoyed wood-working, painting, square dancing and working in his garden during his retirement years.
Roy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years, Marlene; children, Shirley (Dale) Guenther of Chilliwack and Ian Hood of Langley; stepchildren, Lorie (Todd) Irving of Comox and Connie Parker of Vancouver; grandchildren, Shona, Brennan, Darren, and Tasha Guenther; sister, Mavis Kennedy of Coquitlam; brother, Fred Hood of Maple Ridge; and his many friends. Roy was predeceased by a brother, George Hood.
A celebration of life was held at the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home, Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm.
