Sheldon Brian Whiting, known by his family and friends as Brian. Brian was born January 3, 1927 in Melfort Union Hospital, Saskatchewan and died November 22, 2007 at Bastion Place, Salmon Arm, BC.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 54 years Bertha, daughters Jean (Larry) Riltinger, Susan, Shelly (Gordon Hannah) Whiting, Colleen Fowler, Janice (Alex) Hogg, sons Gary (Cindy) and Jerry, three brothers and one sister, 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and special pet Spooky.
Brian spent his adult life in the building trade and three years in the Air Force.
He was predeceased by his father, mother, step dad and two sisters. Special thanks to the Emergency ward staff, Ambulance, Bastion Place staff and Dr. Weicker for the great care he received.
A memorial tea will be held at Fischer’s Funeral Services on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined, donations to a charity of your choice will be accepted.
