Susan Adele Rioux, beloved wife and soulmate of Tim Rioux, sadly lost her battle with glioblastoma brain cancer while seeking treatment in Tijuana, Mexico on December 12, 2016, at the young age of 46. She is survived by her husband, Tim Rioux of Blind Bay, BC, her mother, Heidi Collins of Salmon Arm, BC, her brother James Main and family of Whitby, Ontario, her brother Rob Collins and family of Vernon, BC and her brother Rick Collins and family of Lumby, BC.

Susan attended W.L. Seaton Secondary School in Vernon, BC and graduated at Westwood High in Fort McMurray, AB. She worked several years as a Recreation Coordinator at the Salmon Arm Seniors Resource Centre. She personified courage, strength and selflessness in the eyes of all who knew her. She, along with her husband Tim, shared and demonstrated a love and passion for nature, the environment and social issues.

The creator put all of the suns of the universe into one soul. She is now an angel in heaven always shining brightly down on us day and night. A celebration of her life will be held in the spring, her favorite time of year, when life begins and flourishes anew. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA or to the David Suzuki Foundation.
