On Saturday Morning, March 12, 2011 with her Family by her side in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, Sy passed on. She was born in Saskatoon on Sept. 22, 1922. Her early years were spent in Richlie Sask. She received a degree in Home Ec from U of S in 1946. While working as teacher in the high school in Kamloops she married Bill Pringle. She and Bill lead an exemplary life having spent time in Turkey, Beaverlodge, Prince George and Pakistan.

1988 she and Bill retired to Salmon Arm to enjoy life. She was great at golf, winning many medals in Senior Games. Her prowess at Bridge was well known. Curling and lawn bowling were two of her great joys.

Sy leaves behind her husband of 56 years, son Edward in Edmonton, daughter Donna Sookraj in Kelowna as well as four grandchildren.

A celebration of Sy’s life will be held on April 3rd, at 3:00 p.m. at the United Church in Salmon Arm.
