It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Thunderhawk Norman Dunstan Grinde.
Thunderhawk is remembered and celebrated as a gentle soul, he approached the world around him with kindness, compassion and curiosity. He enjoyed music, computers and video games, time outdoors and in nature.
He excelled in school, and had a special affinity for American Sign Language, which he received top grades in. He was involved in fundraising efforts to feed the less fortunate, and cared deeply about the environment.
Thunderhawk is survived by his father, Thomas Ley; mother, Kristy Grinde, and brother Matias Grinde. Immediate family on his paternal side: grandmother Donna Dunstan, grandfather Tom Ley, uncles: Aurashine and Calmsky Dunstan, and auntie Dawn Dunstan.
He is predeceased by his uncle Nighthawk Halfmoon Dunstan. On his maternal side: grandmother Dianne Grinde, grandfather Ron Grinde, and uncles: Mitchell, Tyler and Branton Grinde.
Thunder, although you have departed from us far too soon, you have left beautiful imprints in this world; these will be held close like the longest and warmest hug.
