Orby Tupper passed on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 with his loving wife Julia at his side. He is survived by Julia and his two children (and their families) from his first marriage (Gladys) - Perry (Kim) Tupper and Katherine Josephine. Orby is also survived by one remaining sibling, Loueta.
Born in Saskatchewan, Orby spent much of his adult life in BC, working as an ironworker and as a construction contractor. Orby was very active in sports, particularly bocce, curling, and ladderball. He enjoyed dancing and country and western music, and travelled to Arizona almost every winter for years. Orby also loved gardening and building birdhouses and feeders.
Orby was kind, had a wonderful sense of humour, and a ready smile. He lived at Mount Ida Mews for the last five years of his life and his wife Julia came almost every day to be with him. A special thank you to the staff at Mount Ida Mews for the caring and support they offered over the years.
