November 26, 1946 - February 27, 2019
We are sad to announce the passing of Werner Nisse on February 27, 2019. Werner was predeceased by his parents Karl and Giesela Nisse. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Brenda; his children, Derek (Kristie) and Kevin Nisse; brother, Peter Nisse (Kathy) and sister, Renata Kraus; as well as three nieces. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Aidan (Jen), Brayden, Cole, Kailyn, Jakob and Tatum, and great-granddaughter, Harper.
Werner was born in Deutschneudorf, Germany on November 26, 1946. His family immigrated to Canada in 1955 and settled in Kelowna, BC. Years later he would meet his wife to be, Brenda, and this is where their family began with the birth of his two sons. Werner's family was most important to him and he was so proud of Derek and Kevin. The family moved to Salmon Arm in 1976, where Werner started Peerless Pipe and Supply. He continued his work in the plumbing wholesale business for years and took a transfer back to Kelowna in 2000, final retiring as manager of Emco. Werner took a lot of pride in his job and strived to ensure his customers were always happy. He always put others first. He continued to work part time managing the Bearington apartment building in retirement.
Werner was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. Please come and join us in the celebration of his life on March 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at Bowers Funeral Home.
