Winnie Stushnov passed away in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on Sunday morning, May 14, 2017 at the age of 84 years, following several years of failing health.

A family Celebration of life service was held from the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm, on

Saturday morning, May 20th at 10:30 a.m. with Jack Bowers the Celebrant.

Born in Arran, Saskatchewan on December 2, 1932. Winnie’s parents moved to the Chase area to find work in the late 1940’s and this is where Winnie met the love of her life, Mike Stushnov.

She knew what hard work was, hard times, yet always managed to be creative and have food on the table. With her husband and 3 sons, they moved to Salmon Arm in 1964. Winnie worked at most orchards in the area, as well the old Motel situated next to McGuire lake, later years for Family Drycleaners.

Predeceased by a son, Danny in 2008, her husband, Mike in 2009.

Winnie leaves her two sons, Rod of Surrey and Tom of Salmon Arm.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Winnie may be sent to the Salmon Arm SPCA
