Every year, in countries around the world, thousands of cats and dogs are killed in the most inhumane ways for their fur.
There are places in the world where people skin dogs and cats alive, hit them over the head or bang them on the ground until they are dead.
The furs removed from these animals are exported to Canada, among other countries, and are labelled as rabbit, mink or other valuable fur products.
If you are considering the purchase of a fur product this Christmas, consider faux fur instead.
Take a look around; there are many high-quality faux fur products on the market that have the appearance of real fur and cost much less.
